Thoughtful use of traditional Japanese joinery and the lack of knee braces give this home an extremely clean, elegant and contemporary feel. A hybrid approach to this renovation met the client’s budget and the architect’s desire to keep the timberwork in balance with the non-timbered portions of the home.
